Pokemon is a Nintendo game franchise which is published and owned by Nintendo. Pokemon was created by Satoshi Tajiri back in 1996. Originally released for the gaming purpose of Game Boyrole, Pokemon has been a hit to gamers and is actually considered as the second most successful video game franchise around the world.

Pokemon revolves around the Pocket Monsters of which consists of 649 fictional species. The most famous character is “Pikachu”. The anime manga features a fictional Pokemon Universe where various Pocket Monsters battle in an arena. The pocket monsters are handled by trainers called Pokemon Trainers. The aim is to collect all the pocket monsters available in a certain region and then train them to be part of the team. The trainers battles their pocket monsters to see who is the strongest.

Pokemon has not only ventured in video games, print and television. There are also various collectible items produced based on Pkoemon like Pokemon cards and Pokemon balls.
